ENZYME THERAPY TO TREAT AUTISM

Autism is a complex developmental disorder in children, which occurs at birth or at infancy. The disorder is caused by a neurobiological disorder that affects brain function in such a way that children are not able to interact and communicate effectively with the outside world.
Symptoms of autism can vary widely, but most notable is the attitude of children who tend not to care about the environment and people around him, as if refusing to communicate
and interact with others, as well as in his own life. In addition, children with autism also have difficulty in understanding the language and communicate verbally.

Autism is a separate concern for parents, because these disorders can affect anyone, indiscriminately. From year to year increase in autism prevalence is very worrying. According to the Autism Research Institute in San Diego, the ratio of people with autism in 1987 is estimated to 1:5,000, which means that of 5,000 children found a child with autism. This ratio increases very rapidly, and in 2005 was to be 1:160. In Indonesia there is no accurate data on the number of people with autism, because there is no central registry for autism. However, the estimated rate in Indonesia was close to that number. Autism is more common in men than women, with a ratio of 4:1.

Most children with autism often have difficulty in consume some foods and is often problematic in their digestive system. To overcome this problem, the patient may be given supplements of certain enzymes. If digestive problems in the form of an inability to digest protein, then the DPP IV could be given a supplement that is able to break down milk protein and gluten.

However, if you plan to enzyme therapy, determine the first category, whether the child has trouble digesting protein that requires a protease, amylase needed to break down carbohydrates, have a problem with candida fungus that responds to the digestive enzymes, or the difficulty of responding to the enzyme lactase and DPP IV on dairy products. Determine the most appropriate category for the child and choose the most suitable enzyme.

If the child has a problem with candida fungus or bacteria found in the intestine, choose a repellent products that have high fiber content to eliminate the fungus in the gut wall. In addition, the product must also contain high levels of protease to reduce, and even clean up the dead pathogenic bacteria. And, also consider herbal supplements to combine the powerful to overcome the bacteria, such as grape seed extract or oregano to the enzyme content of the synergistic effect.
